Project Engineer

Walbridge . We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing, or General Build Construction projects. The role involves planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction engineering activities for large projects. Technical support includes construction planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. You will also develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents in the Prolog database, manage material status reports, process requests for information, and document meeting minutes. Location : You can be located anywhere in the US, with a willingness to travel long-term to client projects. Responsibilities : Project Execution:
Ensure project engineering activities comply with requirements and support construction schedules. Provide technical support including planning, design interpretation, construction methods, conflict resolution, and shop drawing processing. Develop and administer project engineering procedures. Resource Management:
Manage project engineering personnel and related activities, including subcontractor planning and work assignments. Coordinate with on-site departments to resolve issues and ensure quality. Risk Management:
Represent the company during meetings with A/E, clients, and project management. Technical Support:
Serve as the key technical person on projects, potentially overseeing small to medium-sized projects. Qualifications : 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience. At least 3 years of similar construction engineering experience. Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards, with understanding of interdependent functional units. Preferred Skills : Excellent communication and organizational skills for coordination with teams and stakeholders. Skills and Attributes for Success : Strong technical knowledge in construction and engineering processes, procurement, project controls, and contract management. Proficiency in budgeting, financial forecasting, and resource allocation. Experience in risk assessment and mitigation. Ability to adapt in fast-paced, dynamic environments. Interested?
