The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing, or General Build Construction projects. The role involves planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction engineering activities for large projects. Technical support includes participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. You will also develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents in the Prolog database, material status reports, process requests for information, and manage meeting minutes.

Location You can be located anywhere in the US, if you are highly willing to travel to our client projects on a long-term basis.

Responsibilities

Project Execution:

Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule. Provide technical support for construction efforts including participation in planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. Develop and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents.

Resource Management:

Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities. This includes subcontractor planning and administration, work assignments, and interfacing with on-site departments to resolve problems and ensure quality.

Risk Management:

Represent the company, project, or department during A/E, client, and project management meetings.

Technical Support:

Serve as a key technical person on projects, possibly responsible for small to medium-sized projects.

Qualifications To qualify, you must have:

A 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and related experience.

At least 3 years of similar construction engineering experience.

Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, and an understanding of interdependent functional units.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

Excellent communication and organizational skills for cross-functional coordination.

Skills And Attributes For Success

Technical knowledge encompassing construction and engineering processes, procurement, project controls reporting, and contract management.

Proficiency in budget management, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.

Experience in risk assessment and mitigation.

Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing requirements.
