We are currently looking for a Project Manager to support substation and line projects as well as construction support services in the electric utility industry. The position requires a strong interest in power systems and electric utilities.
What Winning Looks Like
Independently manage projects from initiation to closeout, ensuring delivery on schedule, budget, and quality.
Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
Serve as primary client contact, coordinating with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams.
Track project progress, risks, and issues; implement corrective actions as needed.
Prepare and review project documentation, reports, and deliverables.
Mentor Assistant PMs and project support staff on tools, standards, and best practices.
Contribute to process improvements and technical initiatives.
Continue preparing for advanced certifications and leadership roles.
Promote the BHMG quality management system (QMS) on all projects.
Achieve individual project goals set forth annually.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills Needed to Win
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in engineering, engineering management, construction management, business or equivalent is strongly preferred.
Minimum 4 years of experience as a Project Manager in the electric utility sector required.
PMP/CAPM preferred or in progress.
Proficiency with project workflow and scheduling.
Demonstrated experience with project management tools and processes.
Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels in the organization in a team environment.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel, up to 10%.
Valid driver's license required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain the reporting and working relationships.
Software experience: MS Office and MS Project.
