Overview Location: Quincy, IL Pay Range: $19.92-$25.38 | Based on Relevant Experience Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, Daytime hours (Hours vary by department needs). Rotating weekend shift.

About the Role As an IV Tech–Purchaser in the Infusion Center at Quincy Medical Group, you’ll support the daily pharmacy workflow and help keep our infusion services running smoothly. This role blends hands‑on technical work with purchasing, inventory management, and coordination across multiple clinic areas. You’ll work closely with the pharmacist and infusion team to prepare IV products, manage medication inventory, and support patient care in a safe, organized, and compliant environment.

Primary Responsibilities In this role, you will support the pharmacist with daily workflow, including IV preparation, compounding, and medication distribution. You’ll manage purchasing tasks such as creating purchase orders, receiving and reconciling inventory, preparing invoices, comparing costs, and maintaining stocked, organized work areas. You’ll handle pharmaceutical waste streams, track temperatures, upload vaccine information, and process expired products. This position also includes assisting infusion patients, delivering medications throughout the clinic, supporting specialty prescription needs, managing inventory in A‑S Meds, collecting payments, and helping with programs like Vaccines for Children (VFC). Additional duties may be assigned to support Infusion and Pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician license required.

National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.

Previous experience in a pharmacy or medical setting preferred.

Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for long periods, and handling infusion equipment.

Comfortable working in an environment with potential exposure to hazardous or cytotoxic chemicals.
