USC Rossier Global Executive Ed.D. Location: Keck Medicine of USC Hospital, Pasadena, California Provides radiology and back-office support to a private practice clinic. The position may be supervised by the clinic director, physicians, and/or office manager. As part of the Imaging Services Team, the Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic radiology procedures in various clinical settings. Essential Duties
Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures according to department protocols, considering patient age and physiology. Reviews radiographs for proper positioning, technique, and identification. Maintains knowledge of radiographic equipment and uses correct positioning and markers. Adjusts technical factors appropriately to patient size and minimizes radiation exposure. Processes digital images with proper identification and maintains equipment and supplies. Confirms patient identity and reviews doctor’s orders to ensure proper procedures. Recognizes emergencies, indicates code, and provides aid as needed. Records patient information, maintains files, and keeps work areas organized. Assists with transporting patients, scheduling exams, and other duties as assigned. Participates in after-hours standby and call back, using a pager during duty. Maintains professionalism, adapts to change, and fosters cooperation among departments. Acts as a mentor to students and less experienced staff. Communicates appropriately within the chain of command. Works scheduled hours, including weekends, standby, and callbacks. Provides radiation protection and explains procedures to patients. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology. At least 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist. Excellent communication skills in English. Comfortable with computers and medical terminology. Preferred Qualifications
Hospital or healthcare experience. Knowledge of rules, regulations, and process improvements. Experience with Workday and in fast-paced environments. Licenses and Certifications
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CA DPH). Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association. Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) within 30 days of hire if applicable. Registered Technologist - R.T. (ARRT), must be obtained within six months if not already certified. The hourly rate range is $39.00 - $63.95. USC considers various factors when extending employment offers, including experience, education, skills, and market considerations.
