Join our dynamic team at Bickford Senior Living as a Happiness Coordinator! The Happiness Coordinator is responsible for all things FUN at the Branch, coordinating and providing engaging and purpose‑filled events and activities.
Benefits
Full‑time employees are eligible for all benefits (medical, dental, vision and voluntary products).
Part‑time employees (29 or fewer hours per week) are eligible for Voluntary Life and Voluntary Short‑Term Disability.
Benefits start on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

All employees are eligible for a 401(k) with employer match.
Pay is available daily.
Requirements
Must have a valid driver's license and pass a motor vehicle record check.
Responsibilities
Plan and implement activities in the following categories: physical (exercise), social, recreational, intellectual/educational, creative, entertainment, and special requests of the residents.
Conduct and lead activities as needed.
Develop activities according to residents’ lifestyle choices.
Invite and/or remind residents to participate in planned activities.
Chaperone activities outside the community.
Operate a Bickford vehicle to transport residents to activities where applicable.
Train, support, and instruct other team members to conduct activities.
Develop a monthly activity calendar that includes activities seven days per week, including evenings and weekend events.
Plan, coordinate, and implement decoration of the community for special events, seasons and holidays.
Coordinate food needs for scheduled activities with the kitchen.
Operate the activity program within branch budget guidelines.
Qualifications
High‑school diploma or GED required. A bachelor’s degree in recreation or another health‑care related field is preferred.
Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist or an Activity Director Certification required.
Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), with the ability to learn new applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Competent organizational and time‑management skills.
Demonstrates good judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
A valid driver’s license and a driving record consistent with Bickford’s insurance carrier guidelines.
