Overview
Execute and document beverage formulation work to support innovation, brand maintenance, productivity, and commercialization for Away‑From‑Home products across U.S., Canadian, and global markets.
Responsibilities
Perform all activities in strict compliance with PepsiCo safety protocols and procedures
Support scientists in testing new ingredients and developing beverage prototypes
Prepare beverage and concentrate samples for experimentation by:
Creating detailed testing plans with timelines
Scheduling production runs at the technical center
Acquiring necessary ingredients and packaging materials
Coordinating sample production, storage, and submission for analytical or sensory testing
Documenting all experimental procedures and results in laboratory notebooks
Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization to support efficient operations
Manage ingredient inventory and oversee supply ordering to ensure availability of required materials
Maintain accurate laboratory inventory records and ensure timely replenishment of supplies
Oversee the maintenance and calibration of laboratory and pilot‑scale equipment to ensure operational readiness
Key Challenges
Ability to manage and learn a wide variety of product characteristics from cold filled
Ability to manage multiple project tasks to support the individuals of the workgroup, manage time and expectations for group needs, and effectively communicate conflict of requests
Ability to work in and manage a laboratory environment, with responsibilities in maintaining equipment, ingredients, and raw materials
Be able to manage, prioritize, and maintain strong working relationships across different functions
Compensation and Benefits
The expected compensation range for this position is between $59,000 – $88,500.
Location, confirmed job‑related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Associate degree in a scientific field or 3+ years of hands‑on experience in beverages or related disciplines
Laboratory bench work experience in school or industry. Preferably in food and beverage industry.
Familiarity with common lab analytical instruments and beverage processing equipment.
Critical Competencies
Must demonstrate relentless commitment to working safely and maintaining a safe work environment.
Ability to flawlessly execute bench work.
Must be proactive, reliable, and self‑motivated.
Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to proactively and positively interface with various technical functions.
Must be well organized, capture work details and learning, and highlight any unexpected learning.
Must possess the ability to work successfully in cross‑functional teams.
Computer Skills: MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook (email/calendar).
