What You’ll Do
Lead strategic growth and drive revenue growth globally.
Build client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to key clients.
Drive business development by leading major pursuits and campaigns, developing winning strategies, and guiding proposal efforts.
Shape market strategy in collaboration with market and operations leadership.
Mentor and train teams, fostering a culture of client focus and strategic thinking.
Align resources and ensure the right talent is matched to client needs.
What You Bring (Roles and Responsibilities)
Achieve global booking goals for the Waste Sector.
Manage regional Waste business development leaders.
Maintain a strong understanding of Waste market trends and drivers.
Collaborate with the Waste Sector Director to create a vision for the Waste program.
Oversee annual and long‑term strategic plans, including growth initiatives and strategic investments.
Develop cross‑market strategic initiatives.
Lead major pursuit teams in creating and implementing effective win strategies.
Identify candidates for management and technical positions.
Develop training on business development and marketing best practices.
Serve as a client manager for significant Waste sector clients and maintain strong relationships.
Develop business relationships with teaming partners.
Participate in professional associations to elevate HDR’s brand in target markets.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Professional or engineering registration, certificate, or relevant technical experience.
Experience winning high‑value contracts in the Waste industry.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years relevant industry experience.
A self‑starter with a history of completing projects with limited oversight.
Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry's standard approach to procurement of professional services.
Ability to motivate and inspire others.
Ability to build a network of clients and industry partners.
Experience in sales and developing effective win strategies.
Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability and desire to travel and engage with others in person.
Experience growing programs in new or highly competitive markets.
Experience winning high‑value contracts in the A/E/C industry.
Experience writing compelling content based on information from technical staff.
Salary range: $167,580 - $277,200 (based on experience and location).
Primary location: United States – Nebraska – Omaha.
