Job Description Develop a nationally recognized, externally funded research program.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses.
Mentor graduate students.
Contribute to departmental, college, university, and professional service.
Required Experience
For Associate Professor rank: At least 7 years of prior academic experience with a strong record of research productivity, including publications in top-tier journals and successful grantsmanship.
Required Education Earned doctorate in Nutrition or a related discipline with an emphasis on human health.
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
Evidence of research productivity in areas such as chronic disease prevention/treatment, lifecycle nutrition, international nutrition, community nutrition, informatics, public health, or sports nutrition.
Experience teaching nutrition-related courses at the college level.
Experience mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
Experience working with accredited programs in nutrition and dietetics.
Registered Dietitian (RD) credential with eligibility for licensure in Georgia.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in diverse instructional methods.
Excellent organizational and technological skills.
Attention to detail and demonstrated expertise in instructional technology.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Pre-Employment Requirements A criminal background check and official transcripts are required.
Work Hours Flexible Schedule.
University Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5:15pm.
