About the Job The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota seeks a physician faculty member with expertise and training in trauma and fracture care. Candidates should be board‑certified or board‑eligible in orthopedic surgery, hold Minnesota State licensure, and have completed an orthopaedic trauma fellowship.

Practice Details
Full‑time (1.0 cTE with 0.8 clinical time), academic orthopedic surgeon with a trauma fellowship.
Work at Regions Hospital Level I Trauma, collaborating with the Trauma Research Laboratory, Ortho Trauma PA Team, and responsible for teaching residents and fellows.
Part of HealthPartners Musculoskeletal Care, which integrates general orthopaedic surgeons, podiatrists, pain management providers, neurosurgeons, and allied health professionals.
Join an intimate team of 10 orthopedic surgeons at Regions Hospital and a department of over 40 within UMN.
Opportunity to work with residents, fellows, and medical students; access to the Ortho Trauma Research Lab and an Advanced Practice Provider Trauma Team.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited ACGME Orthopedic Surgery residency and trauma fellowship program.
Reliable clinician with sound judgement and technical expertise.
Patient‑care focused and detail‑oriented.
Education‑focused; creative problem‑solver.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional collaboration abilities with partners and staff.
Board eligible/certified; licensed or able to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure and DEA certification.
Meets threshold criteria for credentialing and privileges.
Eligible for U.S. work authorization and capable of maintaining legal status per VISA category.
