Job Summary The Plumbing Engineer will provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of plumbing systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as healthcare, academic, industrial, and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
Design plumbing systems including medical/laboratory piping and gases
Develop systems design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
Be responsible for code compliance research
Coordinate work with other disciplines
Work on site surveys to determine and document existing conditions
Provide construction administration services
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
A minimum of 5 years design experienceLEED certification/experience is a plus, CPD is preferred
Experience with laboratories/medical facilities design is preferred
Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
Excellent work ethic and attitude
Good communication and time management skills
Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
Location Bethesda, MD
The expected base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $115,000USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
