Nealy Pierce has been engaged by a growing, non‑profit 75+ bed Joint Commission accredited rural community hospital in the heart of the Allegheny Mountains to recruit a collaborative and inspirational Chief Nursing Officer to join its executive leadership team.
About the Role As the Chief Nursing Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving nursing practice, leading your team, and ensuring the highest quality of patient care is consistently provided. The CNO will also foster a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and continuous improvement among the nursing team.
Responsibilities
Provide the strategic direction and leadership to the nursing team
Implement policies and procedures that promote quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards
Foster a culture of patient safety, clinical excellence, and compassionate care
Collaborate across all levels to achieve hospital‑wide goals and initiatives
Recruit, mentor, and develop nursing staff to enhance their skills and professional growth
Manage the budgetary and operational aspects of the nursing team
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required / Master’s strongly preferred
Minimum five (5) years of progressive nursing leadership experience as a Director of Nursing, ACNO or CNO
Minimum ten (10) years of total nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting
Must have a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Ability to inspire and motivate a team of nursing professionals

We are offering a generous total compensation package including an annual base salary up to $195k (dependent on experience), relocation assistance / potential sign‑on bonus, and full benefits
