Senior Development Officer JDC has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Development Officer who can drive strategy and thrive on frontline fundraising. The Senior Development Officer will lead and manage Entwine's fundraising operations while serving as the primary frontline fundraiser for the department. This role combines strategic leadership, departmental management, and direct solicitation responsibilities to ensure Entwine meets its revenue targets and sustains its programmatic work.

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of Entwine’s resource development function, including strategy development, major gift cultivation and solicitation, and team management.

Coordinate with JDC’s broader Resource Development department.

Serve as the primary frontline fundraiser and responsible for meeting revenue targets.

Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies.

Manage donor relationships and ensure donor stewardship.

Required Qualifications

10-15 years of progressive fundraising experience with demonstrated success in major gift solicitation and portfolio management.

Proven track record of securing gifts of $50,000+ from individual donors and foundations.

Significant management experience, including direct supervision of professional staff and department leadership.

Excellent strategic thinking and planning capabilities with ability to develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies.

Outstanding written and oral communication skills, including experience in grant writing and donor presentations.

Strong relationship‑building skills with ability to cultivate and maintain long‑term donor relationships.

High proficiency with fundraising CRMs, particularly Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge, or similar systems.

Knowledge of Jewish philanthropic landscape and funding community strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience fundraising for Jewish organizations or international humanitarian organizations.

Established network within Jewish philanthropic community.

Experience with board relations and volunteer management.

Knowledge of international development and global Jewish communities.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Passion for humanitarian work and global Jewish service.

Hiring Details

Type: Full‑time.

Hours: 35 hours/week, 8:45 AM – 4:45 PM with a 1‑hour lunch break.

Location: Hybrid from the New York Tri‑State Area preferred; in‑office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Remote for candidates in Atlanta, Boston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Washington, DC, with strong existing relationships within those communities.

Reports to: Co‑Interim Executive Director.

Salary Semi‑monthly pay at a salary of $150,000 – $160,000 per year, determined by skills, experience, and cost of living in the location of work. This role is exempt under the FLSA.
