Role Principal

Oliver Wyman helps industry leaders in the technology/software and private equity industries develop value growth strategies, improve operations, and maximize organizational effectiveness. Our CTT clients include wireless and wireline equipment and communications service providers, enterprise IT, consumer electronics, semiconductor companies, broadcasters, publishers, platform operators, online entertainment firms, high‑tech and software companies. Our Private Equity team supports investors throughout the deal lifecycle – opportunity identification, due diligence and post‑transaction value realization. The technology practice works across enterprise computing, software, communications, business equipment, consumer electronics, semiconductor and IT services.

Responsibilities

Lead day‑to‑day client projects and client relationships, teaming with Partners and sharing responsibility for successful engagement(s).

Manage complex programs to ensure on‑time delivery that meets agreed goals, leveraging Oliver Wyman best practice, expertise and technical competence.

Guide and influence clients in all situations, becoming trusted advisors through commercial process execution.

Build business by identifying new and expanded opportunities.

Create thought leadership and intellectual capital on a broad range of adjacent topics.

Develop others and build a following as part of asset building for the firm.

Lead firm‑building activities, acting as a role model for firm values with a strong personal brand inside and outside the firm.

Desired Skills and Experience

7+ years of experience in strategy consulting and/or CMT/TMT industry experience plus Private Capital experience.

Commercial due diligence expertise.

Strong conceptual problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Track record of leading and managing teams and delivering against tight deadlines in fast‑paced, demanding environments.

Outstanding communication skills; confident presenting to senior executives.

Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program.

Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.

Benefits The applicable base salary range for this role is $250,000 to $260,000. Base pay will be determined based on experience, skills, location and other factors. In addition to base salary, the position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives and a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401(k) savings and other retirement programs, and employee assistance programs.
