Overview
Oliver Wyman helps industry leaders in the technology/software and private equity sectors develop value‑growth strategies, improve operations, and maximize organizational effectiveness. The Role is Principal, based in San Francisco, New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington DC, within the Consumer, Telco & Technology (CTT) and Private Capital (PC) practice groups.
Responsibilities
Provide day‑to‑day leadership of client projects and any related client relationship and commercial processes; partner with senior leads and share responsibility for engagement success.
Lead and manage complex programs to ensure on‑time delivery that meets agreed‑upon goals, using Oliver Wyman best practice and expertise.
Guide and influence clients in an informed manner across all situations, including execution of the commercial process, becoming a trusted advisor.
Engage fully in business development by identifying new and expanded opportunities.
Create intellectual capital through thought leadership and be knowledgeable on a broad range of adjacent topics.
Develop others and build a followership as part of the firm’s asset building, leading firm‑building activities and acting as a role model for firm values.
Qualifications & Experience
7+ years of experience in strategy consulting and/or telecommunications/middleware/technology (CMT/TMT) industry experience, plus Private Capital experience.
Commercial due‑diligence expertise.
Strong background in conceptual problem solving, analytical skills, and experience delivering results under tight deadlines in fast‑paced environments.
Outstanding communication skills with confidence in presenting to senior executives.
Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program.
Willingness to travel (at least 50% of the time).
Compensation & Benefits The applicable base salary range for this role is $250,000 to $260,000. Base pay will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Performance‑based incentives may also be available.
