About the Team The Event Audiences & Operations team is a strategic partner and resource for the Wall Street Journal Leadership Institute and WSJ Events marketing and sales teams who are responsible for recruiting and retaining c-level and senior executives to the world's foremost influential business memberships and events. We equip ambitious professionals with the essential intelligence, events and tools they need to better lead their industries, grow their businesses and advance their careers. About the Role Reporting to the Website Manager, Event Audiences & Operations, the coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all content on membership and event websites is up-to-date, including agendas, speaker bios, messaging, video, images and anything else that showcases these exceptional experiences. The Web Content Coordinator will also assist the manager in creating briefs for new site launches, developing new content ideas and coordinating assets. Understanding the technical components of web development will be required. You will not be coding, but will need to know how to upload content into a CMS and how to communicate with developers when design changes related to content are needed.

You Will

Ensure all content on membership and event websites is up-to-date, including agendas, speaker bios, messaging, video, images

Coordinate the process of posting content, working with Programming and Events teams to collect assets

Help develop new ideas for content that will enhance the experience on our event websites

Understand and use google keywords to write meta descriptions

Have high-level understanding of analytics and tagging to convey how content is performing, and to optimize the websites based on this analysis

Upload content into a CMS (WordPress)

Liaise with internal developers on uploading content that cannot be done via WordPress, or to change elements of the web page based on content needs

Ability to manage projects through multiple cross-functional teams

Problem-solving skills when bugs or website glitches happen

You Have

1-2 years experience managing and developing web content

Strong attention to detail

Omniture & GA experience

Basic knowledge of HTML

UX, UI experience required

WordPress experience required

Strong command of language and grammar

Degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field preferred

Pay Range:

$55,000 - $70,000

The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
