Warehouse Manager

This Position The
Warehouse Manager
works closely with the Plant Manager to balance demand and capacity across all shifts, maximizing production efficiency and ensuring on‑time delivery of customer orders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Warehouse, Shipping & Receiving Operations
Lead daily operations: receiving, storing, picking, staging, packing, and shipping.
Process inbound and outbound shipments accurately and on time.
Maintain optimal warehouse layout and material flow for efficiency.
Ensure accurate packaging, labeling, and documentation for all shipments.
Coordinate with carriers, 3PLs, and internal departments to resolve freight issues.
Manage equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, racks, dock equipment, scanners) and ensure maintenance and compliance.
Inventory Management & Material Flow
Own cycle‑count program, including variance reconciliation and corrective actions.
Maintain real‑time inventory accuracy in ERP/MRP/WMS.
Ensure material availability supports production schedules and order fulfillment.
Continuously improve inventory accuracy, dock‑to‑stock time, and replenishment processes.
Support SIOP processes by aligning material flow with production plans.
Team Leadership & Development
Hire, train, coach, and develop warehouse staff.
Plan and adjust manpower, including overtime management.
Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and foster accountability, teamwork, and safety.
Promote CPM values through strong leadership presence.
Safety, Compliance & Quality
Own the warehouse safety program (OSHA compliance, training, audits).
Lead incident investigations and drive safety improvements.ln
Ensure adherence to hazardous materials handling, DOT rules, and export compliance.
Maintain clean, organized, and 5S‑compliant areas.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Practices
Apply Lean, 5S, root‑cause analysis, and CI methodologies to optimize processes.
Identify waste, constraints, and bottlenecks; implement action plans.
Support system upgrades by developing standardized work, training materials, and documentation.
Reporting, KPIs & Cost Management
Own and report key warehouse KPIs including on‑time shipment, receiving accuracy, inventory accuracy, dock‑to‑stock time, and labor efficiency.
Monitor warehouse expenses, freight costs, supplies, and equipment budgets.
Provide regular reports on productivity, operational performance, and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, business, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of warehouse management or logistics leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of WMS, ERP/MRP platforms, and inventory control best practices.
Proven experience supervising and developing staff.
Experience managing carriers, freight partners, and shipping compliance.
Strong analytical, organizational, and decision‑making skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Lean/CI, 5S, or process‑improvement experience highly preferred.
Forklift and OSHA safety certifications preferred.
