Base pay range $17.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Responsibilities

Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.

Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.

Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.

Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.

Share customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.

Hold store keys and open/close without management as necessary.

Assist and coach team members with warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries.

Register all related sales on assigned cash register and maintain accurate records (scanning errors, price verifications, etc.).

Assist manager or assistant store manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics (returns, empty package).

Assist in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise, and complete resets and revisions.

Maintain accurate inventory counts across departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.

Ensure the Outdate program is followed.

Perform basic department pricing, daily price changes, and ensure signage supports accurate pricing.

Assist with bookkeeping activities such as cash report, counts, ledgers, and bill payment.

Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, ensuring a clean, neat store condition and appearance, and request repairs as needed.

Separate food items and place products per policy (raw vs frozen meats), assist with stock rotation using FIFO method.

Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.

Assist at Pharmacy out window as requested.

Ensure compliance with state/local laws on regulated products.

Conduct bag checks on team members before leaving the store.

Comply with all company policies, maintain respectful relationships.

Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Attend training and complete PPLs requested by manager.

Serve as liaison between management and non‑management team members, communicating tasks when manager absent.

Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.

Basic Qualifications

One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder experience.

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of store inventory control.

Consideration of applicants with arrest and conviction records.

Obtain and maintain valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
