Base pay range: $21.00/hr - $24.00/hr.
Responsibilities
Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including all required systems start‑ups, cash handling, and ensuring the floor and stock room are ready for the business day. Responsible for opening the back door for deliveries.
Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving customer issues and answering questions.
Model and share customer service best practices with all team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
Hold store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
Assist and coach team members in the warehouse and vendor ordering process, including opening the backdoor for vendor deliveries.
Register all related sales on assigned cash register, including scanning errors, price verifications, items not on file, price modifications, and voids.
Assist manager in reviewing order exceptions and reverse logistics (e.g., returns, empty packages).
Assist manager in evaluating and developing displays, including promotional, seasonal, and sale merchandise. Complete resets and revisions.
Maintain accurate inventory counts in all departments, stockroom, and overstock locations.
Ensure the Outdate program is followed.
Responsibly price basic department items, make daily price changes, ensure proper signage, and complete additional pricing tasks per local regulations.
Assist with bookkeeping activities such as cash report, cash counts, ledgers, and bill payment.
Assist with exterior and interior maintenance, keeping the store orderly and requesting repairs as required.
Maintain separation of food items and follow product placement policies.
Have working knowledge of store systems and equipment.
Assist at pharmacy window as requested.
Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products.
Perform bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager.
Communications
Serve as a liaison between management and non‑management team members by communicating assigned tasks when management is absent.
Report disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of store inventory control.
Consideration of applicants with arrest and conviction records.
Possession of valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
