Position Status Full Time
Summary The Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Moe’s Southwest Grill. Responsible for ensuring that the restaurant team creates quality food and provides quality guest service in a fun, fast‑paced environment. Responsible for ensuring that the restaurant team adheres to company policies, procedures and standards. Responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership of people and financial management in order to achieve a return on investment.
Essential Functions
Interview team members for restaurant operations; ensure proper training for prepping, cooking, packaging, and serving food for guests in a timely fashion. Ensure that prepared food meets operational, food safety and brand standards. Manage food flow, ordering, receiving, storing and servicing to maintain high quality, proper portioning and low waste. Handle schedule deployment and positioning of employees. Coach the restaurant team on operational standards and take corrective action as necessary.
Maximize profitability by enforcing controls on cost of sales, labor, payroll, and other controllable costs. Ensure management and employees adhere to operational systems and procedures. Accurately perform administrative duties including daily, weekly and periodic company financial reports.
Maintain a fun, fast‑paced atmosphere for team members and guests. Ensure the restaurant team greets guests with “Welcome to Moe’s!” Seek 100% guest satisfaction in quality, service and cleanliness. Take corrective action as needed.
Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness and maintenance of exterior, kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with food safety and brand standards. Maintain proper security procedures to protect guests, employees and assets. Reduce injury or accidents by guaranteeing guest and employee safety. Complete administrative paperwork on time.
Maintain a professional image, including punctuality, cleanliness, uniform and appearance standards.
Consistently demonstrate behaviors that best represent company values. Perform all tasks directed by company leadership, including all restaurant management duties and responsibilities; always represent Moe’s and Quality Fresca, LLC professionally.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience Required
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree in business or related field preferred or equivalent experience in restaurant operations. Must be ServSafe certified.
Professional experience: 1‑year restaurant management experience required.
