The University of Virginia Department of Pediatrics and Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition invite applications for a non‑tenure eligible clinical faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The position is ideal for a highly motivated candidate with a strong interest in advancing their career through excellence in clinical practice, education, quality improvement, and advocacy. Rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications.
Division Overview The Division serves as the top‑ranked Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Surgery program in Virginia. With interests in inflammatory bowel disease, pediatric liver transplantation, eosinophilic GI disorders, disorders of gut‑brain interaction, aerodigestive disorders, intestinal rehabilitation, nutrition, and global health, eight faculty provide a full array of pediatric gastroenterology subspecialty care. The Division includes 7,000 outpatient visits and 1,800 procedures annually, a full ACGME‑accredited fellowship program, and collaborative relationships with Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Radiology, Transplant Surgery, and adult Gastroenterology.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree, eligible for appointment to the University of Virginia faculty
Board‑certified or board‑eligible in pediatric gastroenterology
Commitment to clinical service in the subspecialty
Experience or commitment to education, quality improvement, and advocacy
Eligible for rank as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor based on qualifications
