Position Overview
The University of Virginia Department of Pediatrics and Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition invite applications for a non-tenure eligible clinical faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The position is ideal for a highly motivated candidate with a strong interest in advancing his/her career through excellence in clinical practice, education, quality improvement, and advocacy. Rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications.
Division Mission The Division serves as the top-ranked Gastroenterology and Gastrointestinal Surgery program in Virginia. The 8 faculty provide a full array of pediatric gastroenterology subspecialty care, including inflammatory bowel disease, pediatric liver transplantation, eosinophilic GI disorders, disorders of gut-brain interaction, aerodigestive disorders, intestinal rehabilitation, nutrition, and global health. The Division’s clinical mission is supported by a multidisciplinary team and an ACGME-accredited fellowship program with three fellows in training.
Qualifications The position is open to individuals with M.D. or D.O. degrees and candidates must be eligible for appointment to the University of Virginia faculty. The incumbent must be board-certified or board-eligible in pediatric gastroenterology, and will be expected to contribute to clinical service in that subspecialty.
