Description As leaders in the building of cellular telecommunications infrastructures, One Way Wireless Construction, Inc. is viewed as a one‑stop contractor where our expertise in constructing, testing, and maintaining makes us the reliable and highly tenured team that is chosen again and again by our cellular and other industry‑related customers. We are seeking a Tower Foreman who is dependable, punctual and can work quickly with accuracy to join our growing business.
This position is located in Shakopee, Minnesota. The Tower Foreman will work in conjunction with the Director of Safety, as well as the Project Managers to execute projects in accordance with corporate policy and client agreement.
The Tower Foreman will supervise and perform construction duties on a daily basis ensuring quality construction for expedited deployment of services. The Tower Foreman will supervise subcontractors and job site personnel to complete the scope of work assigned.
Requirements
Must have at least 3 years + experience in the telecommunications industry
Prefer 2 years + experience in the Foreman or Lead role
Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
Must pass drug test
Must pass DOT pre‑employment physical
Must be able to climb and work at heights of 50–500’+
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
Basic mechanical abilities with hand tools and simple power tools
Manage a team of 3–5 crew members
Willingness to take a hands‑on approach and lead by example
Climbing and working on various structures in heights that range from 50 to over 500 feet tall
Proficient and safe use of hand, power, pneumatic, and other tools
Ability to travel out of state and occasionally work over the weekend
Complete understanding of various testing methods. PIM, VSWR, OTDR, 3Z, ETC
Obtain or possess all required certifications. Including OSHA 30, NWSA TTT‑1 or higher, Climber/Rescuer, Hoist operator, ETC
A Foreman is expected to communicate effectively with all crew members and Project Managers
Areas of work include reading construction drawings, equipment mounting/installation, tower climbing, testing/troubleshooting, completion of close‑out documents and other duties as assigned
Adheres to established regulations, standards, and company policies and procedures and pays special attention to safety requirements and regulations
Physical Requirements
Frequently moving, transporting, and positioning objects of 50 pounds or more
Must be able to pull own body weight plus equipment weight up a vertical tower repeatedly
Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated position that is +/- 500 feet
Frequently required to use hand and power tools
Travel Requirements
50–75% travel required in the Midwest area (varies depending on department)
Typically travel is Monday through Friday (varies depending on department)
