Facility Task Manager

Base Pay Range $22.00/hr – $29.00/hr
Description of Duties
Manage and lead the team to accomplish work per SOPs, policies, and facility expectations.
Serve as subject‑matter expert in all facility areas.
Create risk mitigation plans for tasks.
Assist program management with budget allocation, report writing, and relationships with Government staff.
Act as liaison between contract and Government personnel; cooperate with HR for hiring, disciplining, promoting and terminating staff.
Ensure staff follow SOPs and Quality Assurance standards.
Develop team cohesion with staff and management.
Set and clarify goals, prioritize, and coordinate work schedules.
Perform weekly walkthroughs with Government Facility Manager.
Collaborate with client to resolve operational issues promptly.
Report animal and personnel issues to appropriate chain of command.
Assist with training classes.
Interview potential applicants for open positions.
Create daily and monthly reports.
Conduct disciplinary sessions.
Conduct performance reviews.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Work 7 am–3:30 pm weekdays; weekends 7 am–11 am; available for extra hours during emergencies.
Required Experience
AA/BS in biology, animal science or related discipline.
Lead by example, exceeding staff expectations.
Strategic and proactive thinking to anticipate needs, risks, and emerging requirements.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills to manage staff performance.
Oversee workflow, delegate responsibilities, maintain quality standards.
Creative problem‑solving for operational and personnel challenges.
Assess impacts of decisions on program areas.
Strong analytical and decision‑making skills.
AALAS Certification at LATG, CMAR, or ILAM level required.
