About Our Client Our client, an early‑stage pioneer in precision metrology and manufacturing intelligence, is entering a pivotal phase of growth. With commercial deployments already underway and a significant Series A raise on the horizon, they are transitioning from strong technical validation to execution at scale. Their patented platform—used across batteries, semiconductors, aerospace, and advanced coatings—integrates plasma physics, machine learning, and predictive analytics to transform how material quality is measured and managed in real‑time.

To support this transition, they’re hiring a

Head of Operations

to architect and execute the infrastructure needed for global delivery—across manufacturing, deployment, service, and operational finance. This is a rare opportunity to join a deep‑tech company at an inflection point and shape its operational backbone from the ground up.

The Opportunity This role is designed for a hands‑on, execution‑oriented operations leader—someone who thrives in ambiguity, has experience building systems from zero to one, and understands what it takes to scale hardware/software systems globally. You’ll own relationships with contract manufacturers, stand up service infrastructure, lead operational finance strategy, and prepare the business for full commercial readiness across multiple international markets.

This person will work closely with the CEO and executive team and could grow into the

COO

role post-Series A. For the right candidate, the role could begin as COO immediately.

Key Priorities

Build operational systems to support international customer deployments and scale

Lead contract manufacturing relationships—including handoff, quality, fulfillment, and logistics

Develop service protocols for complex hardware/software systems, including SLAs and support workflows

Own operational financial planning (e.g., CapEx models, deployment structures, instrumentation strategy)

Design and manage infrastructure for proof‑of‑concept, pilot, and commercial rollouts

Act as a bridge between engineering, commercial, and customer teams to ensure seamless operations

Ideal Profile

10–15 years of experience in operations, preferably at robotics, medical device, metrology, or capital equipment companies

Demonstrated experience owning contract manufacturer relationships and scaling outsourced hardware production

Track record of success in a venture‑backed startup, ideally having helped scale from Series A to B/C

Financial fluency across budgeting, modeling, capital efficiency, and fundraising support

Familiarity with operationalizing service and support for hardware/software products in industrial or manufacturing settings

Not just a planner—someone who’s executed processes firsthand, optimized internal systems, and isn’t afraid to be hands‑on

Experience managing international deployments, regulatory environments, and service infrastructure is a strong plus

High‑trust, collaborative operator comfortable evolving alongside a dynamic executive team

What You’ll Be Stepping Into

A well‑capitalized, mission‑driven team solving real industrial problems

Technology with proven traction and global customer interest

An early but accelerating commercial phase, with blue‑chip partners already engaged

The chance to define operational excellence at one of the most exciting new names in advanced manufacturing
