Our public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Application Specialist / Network Engineer to join our team. This client-facing role is responsible for providing technical assistance to our clients, focusing on Microsoft operating systems, MS Office applications, and help desk support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT support, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently to resolve complex technical issues. A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to clients on Microsoft Windows operating systems and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).

Serve as the help desk contact for troubleshooting software, hardware, and network problems.

Configure, install, and maintain client workstations, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.

Troubleshoot and remove viruses and malware.

Assist clients with network connectivity, security, and performance optimization.

Perform routine system administration tasks, including user account management, software updates, and backups.

Document support activities, resolutions, and maintain accurate service records.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated issues and ensure client satisfaction.

Deliver training and guidance to clients on Microsoft products and related technologies as needed.

Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve client IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

At least five (5) years of experience in IT support, network engineering, or application specialist roles.

Microsoft, Comp TIA, and WatchGuard certifications are desirable.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems and MS Office Suite.

Knowledge of network protocols, security best practices, and troubleshooting methodologies.

Aptitude for learning.

Understanding of and ability to work with multi-factor authentication.

Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.

Ability to manage Office 365 and Azure environments.

Experience supporting users in a professional services environment is a plus.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.

COMPENSATION Gross Mendelsohn compensates employees based on several factors, including but not limited to skill level, experience, education, degree(s), and certifications.
