CLINICAL DIRECTOR - PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING ($20K SIGN-ON BONUS)
Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital (GPBH) is dedicated to providing behavioral health and psychiatric support to children and teens ages 3 to 17. Job Summary
Oversight of psychological testing services on the inpatient units and partial hospitalization program at GPBH, including managing referrals, case assignment, ordering and tracking of testing materials, and ensuring quality direct patient services and reports. Supervision of students and shared oversight of the psychology training program. Complete diagnostic testing reports and liaise with multidisciplinary team and family members for results. When needed, may be required to conduct individual, group, and/or family therapy.
Key Programs
The POLARIS program: a first‑of‑its‑kind, inpatient psychiatric unit (19‑bed) for sexual and gender minority youth (ages 12 to 17). Provides affirming care and help addressing identity.
The WORTHY program: an acute inpatient program for adolescents at risk of being sex trafficked or with prior experience. Utilizes a trauma‑informed care approach to meet complex needs in a secure environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee psychological testing services on inpatient units and partial hospitalization program.
Manage referrals, case assignment, ordering and tracking of testing materials.
Ensure quality direct patient services and reporting.
Supervise students and oversee the psychology training program.
Complete diagnostic testing reports and liaise with multidisciplinary team and family members.
Conduct individual, group, and/or family therapy as required.
Qualifications
Education: PhD or Psy.D.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in a behavioral health setting.
Licensure/Certification: Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois.
Knowledge: General and psychiatric principles; working concepts and theory; age‑specific growth and development; crisis and behavior management; individual, group, and family therapy.
Strong organization, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work cooperatively with other site staff and community agencies.
