Position Summary

Director of Football Recruiting and Player Personnel

Department of Intercollegiate Athletics

Full Time/Term

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for strategic recruitment and evaluation of potential student‑athletes, including high school, junior college, and transfer portal.
  • Oversight of the football recruiting endeavors and ensures all operations align with NCAA and conference regulations.
  • Manage recruiting strategies, coordinate visits, and support the Head Coach and staff with day‑to‑day recruiting functions.
  • Collaborate and communicate with position coaches, as well as academic, compliance, and administrative staff.
  • Organize on‑campus and prospect camps and tryouts.
  • Perform administrative duties related to the football program.
  • Promote Southeast Missouri State University and the athletics program through community involvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in collegiate coaching, football operations, or athletic administration.
  • In‑depth knowledge of football recruiting processes and commitment to NCAA regulations.
  • Strong ability to make decisions regarding potential student‑athletes’ ability to perform in an FCS Football Program.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficient with recruiting databases, film breakdown tools, and related technology.
  • Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service.
