Responsibilities
Uphold E2 Optics’ core value of safety, following safe work practices and company/client safety policies.
Promote company CORE Values to foster a family‑centric culture.
Supervise all aspects of installation.
Plan, organize and direct personnel, resources and materials.
Read and interpret floor plans, drawings, specifications and cut sheets.
Perform system testing and troubleshooting as required.
Evaluate project requirements and validate SOW and project plan to achieve optimal team performance.
Maintain a 2–5 week look‑ahead schedule and update the scheduling tool.
Accurately report project status to scheduling administrator and leadership.
Serve as SME and mentor to technicians, developing their performance.
Collaborate with Project Engineer to define compliant equipment and materials.
Track, trend and drive problem solving for recurring issues.
Share best practices and lessons learned across sites.
Provide coaching, development and guidance to direct reports.
Lead by example, exemplifying safety and professionalism.
Use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio).
Approve PTO requests while managing workload.
Contribute observations for employee evaluations and performance feedback.
Maintain professional appearance and demeanor in internal and customer relations.
Travel as required by E2 Optics.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
OSHA 30 within the first 2 weeks in role.
BICSI Installer 2 Copper and/or BICSI Installer 2 Fiber preferred.
BICSI Certified Technician earned within 12 months in role.
3–6 years of structured cabling or related construction experience.
Experience in large data center infrastructure.
Minimum 3 years of supervision and/or training experience.
Acquire company‑approved certifications.
Obtain BICSI RTPM (Registered Telecommunications Project Manager).
Ability to supervise and train employees, organizing, prioritizing and scheduling work.
Deep understanding of structured cabling systems, pathways, spaces, horizontal cabling, backbone copper, backbone fiber optic, cross‑connections, testing, codes and standards.
Working knowledge of PMBOK Guides and Standards.
Fundamental business practice knowledge.
Work independently and in teams.
Develop and anchor standard operating procedures for installation teams.
Professional demeanor and appearance.
Effective performance‑management skills.
Safety protocol knowledge.
Positive attitude.
High attention to detail and standards sourcing.
Ability to meet deadlines.

Work Environment and Physical Demands The primary work environment is an indoors business office and construction setting. Typical duties require sitting, talking, hearing, hand use, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Lifting up to 25 pounds frequently. Lifting and climbing ladders to 20 feet. Operating equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) may be required. Working in tight, confined spaces may also be required. Reasonable accommodations can be made for disabilities.
