Optometrist – Manchester, CT – Target Optical Target Optical, part of EssilorLuxottica, seeks an Associate Optometrist within a private Independent practice. You will work under a Subleasing Doctor as an employee or contracted doctor. The role offers professional autonomy, flexible scheduling (including part‑time), a fully furnished office with OD equipment, and access to state‑of‑the‑art EHR support. Compensation is based on geographic location, experience, and qualifications, with potential bonus and commission plans.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive optometric care and patient counseling in a patient‑centered setting.

Perform eye exams, visual acuity testing, refraction, and contact lens fitting.

Diagnose and manage a full scope of eye diseases and ocular conditions.

Collaborate with the Subleasing Doctor and store staff on patient treatment plans.

Maintain accurate patient records using the Revolution EHR and online appointment/recall systems.

Adhere to all professional, legal, and ethical standards governing optometry practice.

Qualifications

Doctor of Optometry (OD) graduate or independent optometrist license.

Full scope of practice experience or willingness to work within the subleasing doctor model.

Excellent patient communication, professional judgment, and teamwork skills.

Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with optometric science and technology.
