Atlantic Health System is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in Florham Park, New Jersey
Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non‑profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join the Department of Psychiatry at Morristown Medical Center. The outpatient office in Florham Park has recently been renovated. The candidate will work alongside 14 psychiatrists, five APNs, and one PA, and will have the support of several additional Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists.
The role includes overseeing and providing patient care for children and adolescents with psychiatric needs referred from the Child and Adolescent clinical team, the Behavioral Health Assessment Center, Psychiatric Emergency Services, the Child and Adolescent Consultation Liaison Service, and from AHS and community pediatric providers. The psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage ongoing medication therapy for this population.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage medication for children and adolescents.
Serve as a clinical role model and participate in weekly treatment team meetings for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Provide clinical mentorship to Advanced Practice Nurses within the Department of Psychiatry.
Collaborate with quality and safety leaders to ensure high‑quality psychiatric care.
Assume cross‑coverage duties at the main campus as needed, including on‑call and per‑diem coverage as assigned by the Department Chair.

Qualifications
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with developments in psychiatry
Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor trainees (e.g., Advanced Practice Providers, residents, and medical students) and familiarity with federal and state standards for psychiatric care
Demonstrated success working individually and as part of a team
