Well-established Financial Services Advisory and Private Equity Firm with Global Offices. This particular business unit has a strong track record of success in the mid‑market for turnover and restructuring advisory services which includes clients in publicly traded companies in industries such as retail, manufacturing, technology, and energy. This is a newly created position that will report to the executive team. The company is under 1000 in global headcount, and you will have strong influence and ability to build out and scale this practice globally. The company has recently raised a significant round of funding and is in heavy growth mode. Background:
We are seeking a highly experienced Operational and Financial Executive with a proven track record of at least 20 years in the industry, including a minimum of 10 years in management consulting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across manufacturing, distribution, and service sectors. A strong background in ownership or C‑level roles within the middle market, with hands‑on experience in restructuring, turnarounds, bankruptcy, refinancings, operational improvements, and litigation support, is essential. The role requires leadership capabilities to manage a diverse team, including analysts, directors, and specialists, on a project‑by‑project basis. The candidate must demonstrate expertise in collaborating with business owners, private equity investors, bank and non‑bank lenders, employees, accountants, attorneys, and other stakeholders involved in distressed situations. A CPA and/or CTP certification is preferred but not mandatory. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage assignments involving financial analysis and operational assessments. Conduct due diligence, evaluate business plans, and develop strategic alternatives. Oversee the preparation of 13‑week cash flow projections and integrated financial statements. Draft, review, and present client reports and presentations, while leading related meetings. Collaborate with clients, their lenders, attorneys, M&A advisors, and other stakeholders at all levels of engagement. Manage and align the expectations of all parties involved in projects. Demonstrate proactive leadership, especially in high‑pressure, time‑sensitive situations. Provide mentorship and management support to junior staff, fostering their professional growth. Source and generate project sales and actively participate in business development activities, including: Research and preparation of pitch materials and presentations. Participation in sales calls, interviews, and client meetings. Drafting proposals and engagement letters. Contribute to practice development initiatives and strategic planning. Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; an advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPA, CTP) is highly desirable. Extensive experience with financial restructuring, debt management, liquidity management, turnaround, bankruptcy advisory, litigation support, and financial planning in distressed businesses. Strong proficiency in financial modeling, accounting, and analysis. Minimum of 12‑15 years of experience in senior leadership roles within finance and consulting, with at least 5 years of experience as an Interim CFO in a turnaround or restructuring context. Proven track record of successfully managing complex financial situations, including leading financial strategy, operations, and financial reporting during periods of distress, operational restructuring, or financial transition. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional ethics, integrity, and professional judgment. Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management skills. Ability to thrive both independently and within a collaborative, team‑oriented environment. Proven leadership capabilities, particularly in complex, high‑stress, and ambiguous situations. Comfortable working with minimal supervision and managing multiple tasks. Demonstrated capability in managing people and projects, with a focus on results. A strong team player with the ability to excel in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment. Bonus Points
