Business: ADP, Inc. seeks a Director, Strategy reporting to our New York, NY location. The role is responsible for sourcing relevant financial and market investment opportunities related to HCM technology.
Responsibilities
Source relevant finance and market investment opportunities related to HCM technology.
Invest in VC, investments or HCM technology; work within growth startups and investment ecosystems.
Perform analytical exercises including market sizing, financial analysis, retention analysis, LTV/CAC comparisons and returns analysis.
Forecast, competitive analysis and benchmark against industry.
Revenue management and financial modeling & valuation using advanced methods including DCF, LBO and comparable company analysis for early‑stage and growth‑stage investments.
Structure investment deals, including cap table management and term sheet negotiation; liquid preference and anti‑dilution provisions.
Lead comprehensive due diligence process including compensation landscape analysis, operational benchmarking, and financial KPIs such as burn rate, runway and retention metrics.
Utilize data‑driven market intelligence tools, including PitchBook, CB Insights and Capital IQ, for market sizing, trend forecasting and competitive benchmarking.
Drive post‑investment growth through strategic partnerships, business development initiatives, and scalable portfolio company comparisons for fundraising or exit strategy (IPO & M&A).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Business Analytics, Information Technology or a related field plus 7 years of related experience required.
ADP will also accept a master’s degree plus 5 years of related experience.
5% domestic travel required.
At least 2 years of experience must include: investing in VC, investments or HCM technology; working within growth startups and investment ecosystems; performing analytical exercises as described above.
