Role Python Developer / Support Engineering
Location Rockville, MD (Hybrid, 3 days/week to office)
Duration 12 Months Contract (initial term, renewable based on project needs)
Must-haves
Python Development (about 5 years)
PostGres and relational DB (doesn’t need DB design or modeling)
AWS
Testing (some experience/familiarity with Python testing ecosystem, Pytest, etc.)
Soft Skills
Strong communication and empathy (because facing a lot of users including non-technical)
Strong problem solving
Nice to haves
Bedrock is a great to have
GenAI knowledge
VueJS but not hung up over this
CI/CDFinancial services, regulatory tech, gvt sectors
Description This person will interface between the platform we are building and our user base to help implement testing, work end-to-end as a support engineer, talk to users and provide second-level support, look through things (Splunk logs, infrastructure state, CloudWatch, code, etc.) to diagnose errors, create and work on bug tickets (tactical development), and work on end-to-end resolution. Behind the scenes, they will also work on test automation. The majority of the time will be spent in strategic, proactive support engineering work, while 1/3 to ¼ of the time will be spent reactively addressing user issues.
