Are you a seasoned construction professional ready to take on the challenge of managing diverse, high-visibility projects within one of the nation’s most dynamic airport environments? We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Tenant Improvement (TI) Program team. This is a critical role responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of various tenant-driven renovations, build-outs, and improvements across terminals, concessions, and administrative spaces within a major international airport setting. If you thrive on complex coordination, tight deadlines, and keeping a world‑class operation running smoothly while under construction, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do
Lead Project Execution: Manage the entire project lifecycle for multiple TI projects concurrently—from initial tenant design review and permitting through construction, commissioning, and final closeout.
Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between tenants, airline partners, airport operations teams, design consultants, and contractors. Ensure clear, consistent communication and minimal disruption to the active airport environment.
Compliance & Standards: Review tenant plans and construction documents for strict adherence to airport technical specifications, lease agreements, security protocols, and all applicable building/FAA codes.
Financial Management: Develop and manage project budgets, review and process invoices, negotiate and manage change orders, and provide accurate financial forecasting and reporting.
On- Site Oversight: Conduct frequent site inspections to monitor construction progress, ensure safety compliance, verify quality control, and proactively resolve field issues.
Permitting & Approvals: Facilitate and expedite the design submittal, review, and permitting process with relevant airport and jurisdictional authorities.
What You’ll Bring
Experience: 7-10 years of progressive, hands‑on experience managing commercial construction projects. Experience with tenant improvement (TI), commercial interiors, or complex renovations is highly preferred.
Aviation/Complex Environment Expertise: Demonstrated success managing projects within active, operational facilities, such as airports, hospitals, high‑tech manufacturing, or secure public transit hubs. Understanding of airport security (e.g., badging) and operational constraints is a significant asset.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and contract administration.
Soft Skills: Exceptional ability to manage conflict, negotiate solutions, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively—both verbally and in professional written reports—to executive-level audiences and field personnel.
Certification (Bonus): A PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) certification is a plus.
