TekPro is partnered with a renowned manufacturer US Steel in Gary, IN in their search for "Electrical Maintenance Managers". The shift manager will oversee electrical maintenance and reliability across high-volume production operations. These are hands‑on leadership roles within a large‑scale industrial facility that runs continuous operations supporting steel production, casting, and finishing lines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical systems, team leadership, and troubleshooting in heavy manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and direct electrical maintenance crews during assigned shifts

Ensure safe and efficient maintenance, repair, and operation of plant electrical systems and equipment

Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities to minimize downtime

Troubleshoot PLCs, motors, drives, and high/low‑voltage systems

Maintain compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and preventive maintenance programs

Collaborate with operations, mechanical, and reliability teams to support production goals

Train and mentor electricians and apprentices

Qualifications

5+ years of industrial maintenance or electrical experience, preferably in steel, foundry, power, or heavy manufacturing environments

Strong knowledge of motors, drives, PLC systems, and high‑voltage distribution

Proven supervisory or team leadership experience

Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and problem‑solving skills
