The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry seeks to develop a pool of candidates for postdoctoral scholar (post-doc) positions in Chemistry and Biochemistry.

A post-doc is a professional appointment designed to provide recent doctoral degree recipients with an opportunity to gain experience and skills that will advance their careers. A post-doc works under the supervision of a faculty member who serves as a mentor, and is expected to contribute to substantial, full‑time research, scholarship, teaching, or other professional activities. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory performance evaluations, continuity of funding, and departmental need.

Required Qualifications Recently awarded a Ph.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, biomolecular engineering, chemical engineering, materials science and engineering, polymer science, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to conduct research independently and collaboratively.

Experience in preparing scientific publications.
