Program Coordinator – SD CEO East Women’s Business Center
Black Hills State University seeks to fill a full‑time Program Coordinator for the SD CEO East Women’s Business Center. The Center provides business assistance and training to entrepreneurs, with an emphasis on women’s business development, to foster economic growth throughout South Dakota.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and implement financial maintenance systems applicable to the SBA grant.
Cooperate with all programmatic and financial examinations and any certification reviews conducted by the SBA, its agents or contractors.
Interpret, research and recommend program‑specific guidelines.
Research, develop and implement statewide business education and training programs, including managing the non‑credit online courses offered by BHSU.
Establish and maintain process improvement initiatives in concert with the Director.
Represent the SD CEO East Women’s Business Center Director when necessary, interacting with community officials, individuals and businesses throughout the state for fundraising and sponsor relations.
Qualifications
Experience in public administration or non‑profit program management, including knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Familiarity with purchasing, budgeting, accounting and other administrative activities pertinent to government operations.
Comfortable with public speaking and facilitating meetings with small to large groups.
Active listener and team focused.
Ability to work in a high‑paced environment with many interruptions.
High attention to detail.
Knowledge of QuickBooks and intermediate experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Minimum Qualifications
Two‑year college or technical degree and at least three years of related experience.
