Black Hills State University is seeking applicants for a Program Assistant I in the Center for Civic Engagement

DUTIES : Assist the Director in all aspects of the Center. Process hiring requests for faculty, adjuncts, staff, and work-study students. Track budgets and oversee funds used for purchases, invoices, and travel expenses. Assist the Director with grant reporting requirements. Purchasing and encumbrances, invoicing/accounts payable. Request for pay. Organizing travel and reimbursement for faculty, students, etc. Meeting organization and minute taking. Detailed data entry and recordkeeping. Marketing for the Center for Civic Engagement, the Center for Faculty Innovation, and the Sim Civics grant program. Create PowerPoints and flyers. Provide updated website information to the marketing department. Respond to queries by faculty, staff, students, and the public by phone, email, and in person. Maintaining calendars for both centers and grant activities. Coordinate operations with staff in other areas; other duties as needed. Creating and revising office procedures for efficiency.
