Base Pay Range $165,000 – $210,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Handle all phases of defense in workers’ compensation matters — from intake and investigation through discovery, depositions, trials, and settlement negotiations.
Represent clients in cases involving Labor Code 132a, serious and willful misconduct allegations, etc.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court documents with precision.
Work closely with clients (employers, carriers, administrators, municipalities) to counsel them on risk, strategy, and liability.
Liaise with medical experts, investigators, adjusters, and court personnel.
Stay up-to-date on changes in California workers’ compensation law and practice.
Qualifications Minimum of one year of experience in workers’ compensation defense.
