About the Opportunity
Are you a strategic financial leader ready to drive organizational excellence? Our client, a highly respected professional services firm, is seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team. The ideal candidate will be a forward‑thinking finance executive with a passion for innovation, operational excellence, and long‑term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning:
Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the firm’s long‑term goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
Financial Management:
Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance activities. Lead year‑end close, manage tax planning and filings, and ensure accurate partner compensation.
Operational Efficiency:
Optimize financial systems and processes for accuracy and compliance. Maintain internal controls and lead audit activities.
Risk Management:
Implement and improve financial security protocols, manage insurance programs, and contribute to crisis planning and regulatory compliance.
Leadership & Development:
Provide strategic leadership and coaching to the accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and ethical practice.
Relationship Management:
Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and insurance providers. Collaborate with firm leadership to align financial objectives and operational priorities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred)
10+ years of progressive financial management experience, ideally in a professional services environment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial management software
Proven ability to optimize financial information systems
Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and problem‑solving skills
Strong organizational focus, attention to detail, and adaptability
Demonstrated professionalism, ethical judgment, and leadership in high‑performance environments
