New Grad Registered Nurse Residency Neuro Spine ICU Full-time Nights
Join us as a New Graduate Registered Nurse in the Neuro Spine Intensive Care Unit Residency program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Salary: $36.50‑$58.40 per hour. Responsibilities
Advocate for patient-centered care models, develop individualized nursing plans, include patient advocacy, and use team approaches to achieve daily care goals.
Protect patients by maintaining a safe environment and addressing conflict situations.
Maintain clinical expertise by pursuing continuing education and specialty certifications, sharing knowledge with team members, applying critical thinking, and prioritizing interventions.
Educate patients and families, document outcomes, and adjust plans accordingly.
Participate in volunteer initiatives and community mentorship.
Foster professional engagement through committee participation, peer feedback, and quality improvement projects.
Qualifications Required
Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing
Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher
Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license
Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through the American Heart Association
Analytic ability (conceptual and quantitative)
Oral, listening, and written communication skills
Strong human relation skills to interact effectively and collaborate with others in difficult situations
Use of a keyboard to enter or retrieve data
Preferred
Experience in a specific clinical area
Nursing specialty certification, if eligible
