Position Overview Pacific Pros is seeking a Document Control Technician II for Construction Projects to be a representative for Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA). Work Location: LAWA requires the candidate to be local for this position. Region: Los Angeles, CA. Status: Full-time on-site. Opening: January 2025, Immediate.
Responsible for processing, distributing, retrieving, maintaining and archiving all project‑related records received and sent by LAWA. Assist in managing project and program records, utilizing LAWA’s Project Management Information System (PMWeb) and hard‑copy files.
The qualified candidate may be co‑located with the construction management team in a field construction environment after training is completed. Candidate should have the means to drive distances between office and field locations.
Essential Job Duties
Control, scanning, indexing, linking, hard‑copy filing and distribution of documents in PMWeb, including internal records of the Airports Development Group (ADG) and records processed with external entities such as city agencies, consultants, and contractors.
Manage flow of records to project participants, including correspondence, technical submittals, project reports, Requests for Information, and contract plans and specifications.
Prepare transmittals, distribute documents using PMWeb, and retrieve documents through PMWeb software.
Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
Must be a proactive, self‑starter with a results‑oriented focus.
Must be sensitive to time deadlines, ensure work is accomplished within required time frames, and be flexible and able to readily adapt to changing priorities.
May be designated as a lead Document Control Technician on a project or element.
May be assigned training duties to train new staff on document control procedures.
Other Required Duties
Assist the Project Manager, the Construction Manager, and the Project Team in all matters relative to project records and the control and distribution of documents in PMWeb.
Support project teams in organizing workflows and approvals.
Participate in project meetings, as necessary.
Hardware/Software Knowledge
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat is required.
Experience with large‑scale Document Control Software is preferred, PMWeb and/or Documentum highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience with routine Document Control hardware and software, such as scanners and optical character recognition.
Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional required.
Required Qualifications
Two‑year technical degree.
5‑10 years’ experience with document processing and data management.
Document processing experience at large international airports preferred.
Certification for document control professionals highly desirable.
US Employment Authorization without needing sponsorship.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
3+ references from clients.

May work overtime.
May be required to work various shifts as needed.
This is a Monday‑Friday full‑time position in the office or on the project site at LAX.
