We are a fast-fashion company seeking a full‑time Senior Buyer for our corporate office based in the greater Los Angeles area. The Senior Buyer will be experienced in women’s apparel, highly attuned to current trends, and familiar with key labels and brands in the market. This role is responsible for identifying suppliers, researching goods and services, processing purchase orders, and verifying delivered items. The Senior Buyer will work with a growing team, collaborate closely with creative partners, and provide hands‑on support across the merchandising lifecycle. This role will also mentor and provide guidance to Assistant Buyers.

Job Responsibilities

Partner with merchandising leadership to help run the merchandising function

Create product specifications and select fabrics, trims, colors, and embellishments

Oversee the final production of designs, including fittings

Perform vendor research and selection to enhance profitability, reduce operating costs, and boost efficiency

Maintain strong working relationships with vendors and oversee vendor activities

Review and sign purchasing agreements with vendors, monitor performance, and renegotiate contracts as needed

Stay current on fashion trends and anticipate consumer preferences

Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for product adjustments

Oversee launch schedules and maintain sample records

Conduct ongoing market research to identify and evaluate potential new vendors

Job Requirements

7–10+ years of experience in women’s retail and/or e‑commerce buying

Thorough understanding of fabrics, with strong knowledge of trends and fashion

Strong negotiation skills and ability to work within defined budgets

Proficient in Excel and MS Word

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and functions

Comfort communicating with all levels of staff and management

Independent, self‑motivated team player

Thrives in a fast‑paced environment with short timelines and changing priorities

Detail‑oriented and organized with strong follow‑through

Ability to travel up to twice per year to key market destinations such as New York and Las Vegas

Demonstrated sense of urgency and experience meeting deadlines

Positive, proactive contributor who can work independently and troubleshoot in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment
