Description Louisiana Cat is seeking a Parts Warehouse - Core Processing Specialist to join our growing operations at the Morgan City, LA location.
Essential Functions
Receive, inspect, and process used cores.
Occasional deliveries to Terrebonne, Lafourche, and Lafayette.
Pull stock orders for customers, technicians, and other stores.
Check, receive, and verify accuracy of part locations and quantities.
Receive merchandise and stock shelves.
Participate in physical inventory counts.
Ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
Maintain a clean warehouse by sweeping and cleaning each day.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
Understanding of inventory allocation and control.
Ability to verify shipments and reconcile discrepancies.
Proven ability to follow standard operating procedures.
Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills for working with internal departments and external customers.
Experience pulling, stocking, and organizing parts or merchandise preferred.
Familiarity with inventory management systems or basic computer data entry preferred.
Parts experience, especially in a warehouse or stockroom setting, is preferred.
Job Facts
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to occasionally lift 75 pounds from floor to chest, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, grasp, or feel, and reach with hands and arms with a full range of motion. Must endure prolonged standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and squatting; process paperwork and utilize office equipment (computer, phone, copier). Normal sight or corrected vision is required to read documents and use standard computer terminals.
Work Environment:
Warehouse setting. Employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. Noise level usually moderate to loud.
