Your impact We’re seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of infrastructure projects in Montgomery, Alabama. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and technical teams to help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll assist in managing project execution, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and contributing to client satisfaction and long‑term partnerships. Key Responsibilities
Support Senior Project Managers in the planning, execution, and closeout of infrastructure and construction projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
Assist with contract administration, task order management, project documentation, and quality control processes.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to track progress, resolve issues, and maintain project momentum.
Participate in client meetings, helping to understand client needs and expectations while fostering strong working relationships.
Contribute to proposal development, including gathering technical input, preparing materials, and supporting presentations.
Help implement Jacobs’ project delivery tools and processes, and promote a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
Collaborate with client service leads and technical experts to support strategic initiatives and market growth in the cities and places sector.
What You’ll Bring
Experience supporting infrastructure projects, ideally in construction or related fields.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from experienced project leaders.
Familiarity with project management tools and processes is a plus.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field.
Approximately 2+ years of relevant project management experience with multiple project priorities.
Based in or near Montgomery, Alabama, with a proven track record of supporting infrastructure projects for public and/or private sector clients within the region.
Demonstrated experience assisting in the management of infrastructure projects.
Experience in building and maintaining client relationships that lead to repeat business and new project opportunities.
Approximately 5‑8 years of relevant experience in public and/or private infrastructure project support, with increasing levels of responsibility.
