Overview
Operations Director, SMT (A Group MLB HOD 01) - Houston, TX. Purpose of the position: To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to the advancement of SMT business. This Director of Operations will be based in Houston, reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Management Office. The Operations Director is responsible for managing day-to-day operations and core functions of operations, including Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance (QA), Supply Chain Management and Customer Cooperation. Drive new business development while maintaining full P&L (Profit & Loss) accountability. Execute corporate strategy and optimize operational efficiency across all functional units. Responsibilities
Oversee factory operations, including Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance (QA), Supply Chain Management. Align daily operations with company objectives and customer expectations. Trial production/mass production planning and implementation. Customer Engagement: act as a key liaison with customers to enhance output, yield, and satisfaction through proactive communication and problem-solving. Responsible for future development planning of new business/new products/new technologies, etc. Operational business experience including a successful performance track record managing staff and P&L. Develop and implement strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and drive revenue growth while maintaining high-quality standards. Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce. Qualifications / Experience
Work Experience: 10+ years of experience in PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) / consumer electronics assembly industry in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, etc., with relevant experience and at least led/handled 2 departments. 5+ years of experience in PCBA / consumer electronics assembly industry with new process/new technology introduction. Experience in managing an operational team of over 1,000 people. Extensive experience in independently building teams and leading new product pilot production and mass production. Extensive experience in product order taking and rich business development experience. Familiarity with SMT industry equipment planning, production process, and daily operations is preferred. Education
Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Working Conditions
Office-based with regular on-site work. On-site work requires wearing static electricity protection equipment. Able to respond to after-hour emergencies and be available to work non-core hours to complete various projects to ensure the smooth operation of the factory. Skills
Printed Circuit Board Assembly / manufacturing, engineering, Quality Assurance, supply chain, etc., with expertise in at least two areas. Extensive experience in personnel management and team development. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
