About the Opportunity We are seeking a personable, dynamic Senior Manager for Labor & Delivery to join our mission-driven team at one of Seattle’s premier hospitals. As a leader in maternal care, our hospital delivers over 500 babies each month, supported by state-of-the‑art facilities and a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring exceptional patient and caregiver experiences while driving quality, innovation, and operational excellence.

Team & Structure

Roughly 120 direct reports, including Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, RNs, surgical techs, and health unit coordinators

Supported by perinatal CNS, educator, medical director for quality & safety, and caregiver resource team

Union environment with 24/7 charge RNs and a newly ratified four‑year contract

Leadership Responsibilities

Oversight of quality, finance, staffing, and patient/caregiver experience

Partnership with L&D and Women & Children’s leadership teams

Fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high‑performing environment

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required

Master’s degree in nursing or related field preferred

Minimum five years as a nurse manager or equivalent, with acute‑care background

Washington RN license (upon hire)

National provider BLS from the American Heart Association

Experience in a unionized healthcare environment a plus
