Production Delivery Planning Engineer (A Group MLB_PE) - Houston, TX
Purpose of the position Be responsible for planning electronic products SMT or assembly production and shipping, coordinating cross-departmental resources, assessing supply and shipping risks based on demand and production/delivery resource factors, ensuring on-time delivery. Familiarity with ERP systems, import/export processes, and strong execution skills are necessary to drive efficient collaboration between manufacturing and supply chain, with cost awareness to maximize shipping efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities
Demand and supply management
Make and optimize monthly/weekly production plans & delivery plans based on customer demands, inventory data, capacity constraints, and raw material status to ensure timely order delivery.
Monitor the delivery process, import/export matters, and adjust the schedule in real time to handle urgent orders or abnormal fluctuations to achieve shipping goals.
Capacity Planning and Optimization
Analyze production data (e.g., equipment utilization and labor efficiency), identify bottlenecks, and propose capacity improvement plans.
Drive optimization of ERP/MRP system scheduling modules (such as SAP) to enhance efficiency.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and quality departments to ensure material supply, equipment tuning, and production line manpower match production needs.
Inventory Management
Balance inventory levels of raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished goods to avoid shortages or excess inventory, ensuring costs stay within target ranges.
Responsibilities and Teamwork
Demonstrate strong sense of responsibility, team spirit, and ability to balance work distribution within the team.
Education and work experience
Bachelor's degree or higher, major in International Trade, Business Administration, or Economics.
At least 3 years of work experience in the electronics industry.
Work Environment
Office-based role; must be able to respond to after-hours emergencies and be available for non-core hours or overtime to complete projects without interrupting operations.
Required Skills
Proficiency with SAP/ERP systems; strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
