Overview Gallagher Bassett is seeking a seasoned and strategic business development leader to join our expanding Carrier Practice team. This role is focused on driving growth across the specialty property & casualty insurance market by cultivating high-impact relationships with insurance carriers, MGAs, and program administrators. The successful candidate will bring deep industry expertise, a strong network of decision-makers, and a track record of delivering revenue through consultative, solution-based selling.
This is a remote senior-level opportunity to shape market strategy, open new channels, and contribute meaningfully to GB’s continued expansion in the carrier ecosystem. This role would also require up to 40% of travel.
How you’ll make an impact Market Expansion
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across targeted markets, products, and lines of coverage.
Build, manage, and convert a robust pipeline of prospective clients and strategic partners.
Client Relationship Management
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with carriers, program administrators, agents, and other key industry stakeholders.
Serve as a trusted point of contact, ensuring timely resolution of inquiries and a seamless experience throughout the sales cycle.
Sales and Revenue Growth
Consistently meet or exceed revenue targets and business development objectives.
Develop and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and solution narratives tailored to client needs.
Strategic Collaboration
Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment between client solutions and GB’s operational capabilities.
Share market intelligence and client feedback to support service innovation and strategic planning.
Partner with senior leadership to define and execute long-term business development objectives.
About You Required
Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience required.
Preferred
Professional designation may be preferred, including CEBS, CPCU, CIC, or ARM.
10+ years of sales experience in the specialty insurance market.
Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
Proven success in consultative and solutions-based selling.
Strong understanding of carrier, MGA, and program administrator operations.
Ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor.
Experience navigating complex sales cycles and structuring multi-line insurance solutions.
Familiarity with CRM platforms and sales tracking tools.

Compensation and benefits We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
